About
I'm Philip Rugamba. Most people know me as a designer, and I'm fine with that. But the real picture is wider.
I build things across healthcare, sustainability, agriculture, entertainment, craft, and wherever curiosity takes me next. I call myself a serial dabbler — not as an apology, but as a way of working. AI, specifically Claude, is the thing that made this range viable. It turns out one person with genuine curiosity and good taste can go surprisingly deep across many domains if they have the right building partner.
What I've Built
The list keeps growing. Some highlights:
- ADA eCare — Healthcare accessibility tools. Two iterations, because version one taught me what the real problem was.
- EcoGrains — A sustainability platform connecting agriculture and environmental impact.
- Search to Seat — Rethinking the restaurant discovery-to-booking flow.
- Momentum — Grant management, photography, TV production, data systems. One name, many lives.
- London Stoneworks — Where physical craft meets digital presence.
- Blackcode — The identity project.
- Starlight / Starpath — Design ventures.
And more — Atlas Park, SUSBE, Esteem Resume, and whatever comes next.
Why This Site Exists
I've spent years telling other people's stories through design but never told my own. The cobbler's shoes. This site is where I fix that — writing honestly about what I'm building, why, and what I'm learning along the way.
Some entries will be polished case studies. Others will be raw reflections captured mid-build. All of it is honest.
